MB Inspection has considerable experience of welding of all kinds, using a range of techniques, materials and consumables.
The base and welding facilities are covered by extensive Management and Quality Control Procedures.
The welding facilities have a strict welding consumable control process, including dedicated and secure consumable storage facilities.
Preheat/Heat Treatment Capability
The welding facilities include the capability of pre and post weld heat treatment (PWHT). Propane Gas via hand held torches can apply pre heat prior to welding operations or Electrical Resistance Bands can be used for both pre heat and PWHT.
Both pre and PWHT can be recorded accurately using thermocouples and multi point chart recorders.
Machining Capability
The laboratories are served by in house machine shops, with a range of equipment suitable for producing test specimens in accordance with British and international standards.
The machine shops are staffed by experienced operators who are capable of producing work to the aforementioned standards in an efficient and effective way.
Materials Services Department
As a department we are accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) to ISO 17025:2005 to offer a full range of mechanical and metallurgical testing.
The accreditation ensures that no aspect of our work is overlooked with emphasis placed on competence and quality service. All members of staff are competent and experienced in their own sphere of activity.
