Roof Top Safety Course

Course aims

To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical experience to enable them to work on flat roofs in protected and unprotected areas and to work safely in a variety of exposed locations.

Who should attend?

Persons who are required to work on flat roofs for construction or maintenance purposes.

Content

Training will include both practical and classroom sessions. Module 1 of the working at height syllabus covers all legislative content.

• Describe the methods used to deal with the main hazards which may be present on roof top sites
• Demonstrate the ability to select and use a range of personal protective equipment to access unprotected roof edges
• Describe and demonstrate the correct method of inspection, storing and maintaining of personal protective equipment
• Describe the precautions to be taken with tools and equipment when working at roof edges
