Multi-Disciplined NDT Technicians

MB Inspection are looking for Specialist Techs at our Stockton Office (Long Term Positions)

Personnel to be provided with intensive training in several Specialist NDT Techs – Eg Tube Inspection IRIS/Eddy Current, Long Range UT, Phased Array, Tank Floor Testing, ACFM etc.

Work would involve short travel duration trips to both UK and Overseas work locations based from the MBI Stockton Office.

The Rates will be: Assistant Specialist: £14.00ph and £19.60ph overtime, Lead Specialist: £16.00ph and £22.40ph overtime

MB Inspection are looking to recruit a Plant Inspector/NDT Inspector at Stockton(Long Term Positions)

Personnel to perform visual inspection & NDT of pipework & vessels. There are three full time positions available now with additional positions developing from the pipework inspection programme that is to start with 150 lines to inspect in 2007 and 250 lines in 2008 which will require another two inspectors.

The hourly rates for an Inspector will be: £15.00ph & £21.00 overtime and Senior Inspector: £17.00ph and £23.80 overtime.

Mechanical Inspector (temp)

MB Inspection has a temporary position of Mechanical Inspector at one of our client sites. Applicants should be fully conversant in all aspects of mechanical inspection.

Main Duties of the role:

To provide an inspection services for all site mechanical equipment and assets, make assessments against requirements of legislation, evaluate suitability for continued safe use, advise on the intent and urgency of remedial work required and on necessary changes to planned preventive maintenance schedules to prevent recurrence. Must have experience of pressure vessel inspections in accordance with WSEs

To assess the condition of moving machinery/rotating equipment using vibration, noise and lubricant oil (including wear debris) analysis techniques.
To establish the root cause defects and advise on the extent and urgency of remedial work required and on necessary changes to planned preventive maintenance schedules to prevent recurrence.
Must have working knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000.
To apply Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology to non-statutory plant, assign priorities, establish inspection regimes and carry out inspections.
To be able to work at heights and in confined spaces, be MEWP (Mobile Elevated work platform) trained.

It would be advantageous if the applicant possesses PCN Level 2 qualification in Liquid Penetrant Inspection.

Applicants must understand company and regulatory practices and procedures associated with systems carrying both hazardous and Pressurised System relevant fluids, and have familiarity with common items of equipment used in the Manufacturing and Utilities processes.

Good interpersonal and communication skills will be necessary for both on and off site contact.

An understanding of Access databases would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given.

Project Manage all offshore inspection activities including NDT, Radiography and Corrosion monitoring.

These jobs consist of long term maintenance and numerous short term contracts.

Experience of offshore integrity management is desirable.

Demonstrable Project Management Experience is essential, including the ability to work within budgets, timescales and to company profit margins.

A qualification in Project Management would be an advantage
